Samantha Santiago
Director of Executive Function Coaching & Tutoring 

Samantha brings her extensive experience from both private and public education to MAIA as the Director of Executive Functioning Coaching and Tutoring. She brings over a decade of education pedagogy and interventionist work into training MAIA’s tutors in best practices. She believes in fostering community-building and interactive learning. 

 

Her areas of expertise/specialties include: 

  • Curriculum development 

  • Teacher coaching 

  • IEP/IESP consultation and assessment 

  • Literacy and math intervention 

 

In addition to teaching certifications in Florida Exceptional Student Education (ESE) K-12, New York Students with Disabilities and General Education Grades 1-6, she received her Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from Florida Atlantic University and earned her Master of Science in Childhood General and Special Education from the Graduate School of Education at Touro University. Samantha’s training and curriculum experience include: Preventing Academic Failure (PAF), Wilson Reading System (WRS), Orton-Gillingham (OG), Words Their Way, Teachers College Reading and Writing Project (TCRWP), and the Institute For Racial Equity in Literacy (IREL). Samantha has also facilitated additional outside programs, such as American Sign Language (ASL) and 1:1 academic support.
